I’ve been compiling this list annually since 2013. I’ve had a pretty varied list of artists. This year all three have appeared previously. Am I getting into a rut? Well, at least I’m listening to newly-released music (my criteria is only that the music be released during the calendar year); I know some who are still playing the same tracks they were decades ago — which is fine for them, I suppose, but not my jam. I enjoy the thrill of discovery.
