Pale gold appearance. Unique sharp aroma of candied apple and citrus. Dry but ripe fruit and heat (14% abv); strong acidity, light-to-medium body. Grapefruit, ripe fruit, mineral. Very good length with lingering citrus finish. Arguably unusual Pinot and I quite like it. $28 at Crosstown. See Joie Farm; winemaker’s notes (PDF).
