Pale gold appearance. Unique sharp aroma of candied apple and citrus. Dry but ripe fruit and heat (14% abv); strong acidity, light-to-medium body. Grapefruit, ripe fruit, mineral. Very good length with lingering citrus finish. Arguably unusual Pinot and I quite like it. $28 at Crosstown. See Joie Farm; winemaker’s notes (PDF).
Clear, pale gold in the glass. Medium nose of citrus and apple with a slight floral quality. Dry, strong acidity, light-to-medium body. Lemon, mineral, tart apple. Good length, with a crisp though slightly muted finish. 12.6% alcohol. Overall good.
$27 at Steamworks Wine Thief. See Tightrope Winery.
