Albert Mann Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg 2008

Clear, light lemon-gold appearance. Clean, medium intensity nose with floral, lemon, and petrol qualities. Dry with the slightest bit of residual sugar; high acidity and medium body. Very nicely balanced citrus-mineral floral palate. 12.5% alcohol. Good length and complexity. Overall very good; definitely recommended. $44.90 at Marquis.

Pfaffenheim 2009 Gewürztraminer

Clear, pale lemon-gold appearance. Clean, light floral-lemon mineral nose. Off-dry with medium acidity and medium body. Pronounced sweet spice, floral-perfume, ripe fruit and citrus; a bit of earthiness on the finish. 13.5% alcohol; medium length. Perhaps better balanced than the 2007. Very good, particularly for the price—$24 at Crosstown.
